[He did. He must have, she reasoned. Of course she could not be everywhere. For one thing, defeat was no where in her mind. The draculina had had enough of his cheek, he could act superior all he wanted.

Seras knew he was wrong. Especially if he were to talk so lowly of Captain Bernadotte. They had their exchanges of harsh words. Her impatience and longing for some kind of hope fueled this mission. Not a mere picture.]
